Terms & Conditions
The terms governing registration for and attendance at the Summit. Please read them carefully before registering.
01Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern registration for, and attendance at, Asia Swiss Business Summit @ Davos 2027 ("the Summit"), organised by Asia Swiss Business Forum, Switzerland, and Commonwealth Entrepreneur Forum, London, and managed by UK-Pakistan Trade & Investment Board, London ("we", "us", "our"). By registering, whether as an individual, firm or company, you ("you") agree to them.
The Summit is intended only for business executives and professional audiences. If you are an individual consumer, you must tell us before making a booking. These Terms and Conditions are made only in English.
02Registration and Confirmation
Please check your registration form carefully before submitting it. Your participation is not confirmed until you receive an email confirmation from us with your registration code and other useful information.
If you do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours of submitting your form, contact us at delegates@asiaswissbf.ch before the start of the Summit. You are responsible for telling us of any changes to your contact details.
03Registration Fees and Payment
- Registration fees are correct at the time of offering but may change.
- Fees include light refreshments, lunch and conference materials. They do not include transport or accommodation, unless booked separately or included in your package.
- All fees must be paid in full by bank transfer before the start of the Summit. Bank transfer charges are your responsibility: the amount we receive must equal the total amount due, or the registration is not complete.
- All sums are subject to any applicable tax, levy or similar governmental charge, and must be paid without set-off, counterclaim, deduction or withholding (other than tax required by law).
Late or Unpaid Fees
If fees are not paid when due, we may cancel your registration without warning at any time before the Summit, and may start proceedings to recover the debt. You will be liable for an administration fee and interest, accruing daily, in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, and for our costs of recovery, including legal costs. We may also end this agreement immediately by written notice.
04Cancellations
We may cancel the Summit at our sole discretion, for any reason and at any time. If we do, we will refund any registration fees paid, except the processing fee, and will make reasonable efforts to notify you.
If you wish to cancel, email us at delegates@asiaswissbf.ch as soon as possible, and before your visa application is submitted. Once a business visit visa has been issued, registration and administration fees are not refundable. Cancellations with payments still outstanding are liable for either the administration fee or the full registration fee, depending on when the cancellation is made.
05Visas, Travel and Insurance
- We facilitate and process business visa applications, with due diligence by a qualified immigration lawyer. Granting a visa is solely at the discretion of the Swiss Embassy, and we accept no responsibility for the outcome.
- Delegates must comply with all Swiss immigration rules and regulations, and leave Switzerland within the validity of their visa. Any breach is the delegate's sole responsibility.
- All delegates must hold comprehensive insurance covering travel, loss of luggage and personal items, and medical treatment for sickness or accidental injury, including death and repatriation, with no liability or compensation claim on us.
- You are responsible for making your own way to the venue, and remain liable for all payments whatever the reason you are unable to attend.
06Venue and Special Requirements
You must comply with the rules and regulations of the venue. Valuables and use of car parking at the venue are entirely at your own risk; we accept no responsibility for any loss or damage. We may refuse admission to, or remove, anyone we consider unsuitable, at our absolute discretion.
If you have additional requirements, for example due to a disability or food allergies, please email delegates@asiaswissbf.ch at least 7 days before the start of the Summit.
07Changes to the Summit
We may change the event at any time without prior written notice, including the programme, speakers, date, time and venue.
08Data Protection
We process any personal data you provide as an independent data controller, in line with our Privacy Policy. Where you provide personal data of third parties, you confirm that you have complied with all applicable data protection legislation, including obtaining every permission and consent needed.
09Intellectual Property
All intellectual property in the Summit materials belongs to us or the relevant third-party owners. You may not reproduce, sell or copy them, in whole or in part, except for post-conference reference. For any other use, email info@asiaswissbf.ch.
10Term and Termination
This agreement runs from the day we confirm your booking until the last day of the Summit. We may end it at any time with 15 days' written notice, or as set out under Registration Fees and Payment and Force Majeure.
Either of us may end it immediately by written notice if the other commits a material breach that is not remedied within 15 business days of written notice, or becomes insolvent, bankrupt or ceases to trade. Ending the agreement does not affect rights and liabilities already accrued, and you must still pay any fees invoiced up to that date.
11Limitation of Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- You indemnify us and any group company against all losses, costs (including legal fees), claims and damages arising from any breach of these terms by you.
- We are not liable for any consequential, indirect or special damages, including indirect loss of profit or revenue.
- Our maximum total liability to you will not exceed the registration fees you have paid us.
12Force Majeure
We are not liable for any delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government action, disease or epidemic, the curtailment or cancellation of public transport, strikes, terrorism or civil unrest, and communications failures. In such cases we are entitled to a reasonable extension of time.
If the delay continues for 30 calendar days or more, we may end this agreement with 5 business days' written notice, and reserve the right not to refund registration fees; we advise taking insurance for such events. A force majeure event does not entitle you to delay payment.
13Publicity
We and our group companies may refer to you, or your company, as a participant in sales and marketing materials, including websites, and may reproduce your company's logo or trade mark for that purpose.
14Disputes
If you are an individual, we will negotiate in good faith to resolve any dispute; if it is not resolved within 10 business days, either of us may refer it to the courts. If you are not an individual, our representatives will meet within 5 business days of written notice of the dispute, then escalate it to senior management if needed, before either of us refers it to the courts. Neither of us is prevented from seeking urgent or interim relief.
15General
- Notices, including invoices, must be in writing and may be sent by email, courier or post.
- This agreement is personal to you and may not be assigned or transferred without our prior written consent. We may assign or sub-contract our rights and obligations at any time.
- We may revise these terms from time to time and will publish the current version on this website.
- If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be amended as needed to make it enforceable, and the rest of the agreement is unaffected.
- A delay or failure to exercise any right is not a waiver of it.
- No one who is not a party to this agreement may enforce it, and nothing in it creates a partnership, joint venture, employment or agency relationship.
- This agreement, with your booking, is the entire agreement between us, and replaces any earlier understanding.
16Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising from them, are governed by the laws of England and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
